Chatbot vs LLM:

A chatbot is how you talk to a system.

An LLM is what generates the responses.

ChatGPT is both -- an LLM under the hood (GPT-5), wrapped in a chatbot interface (ChatGPT).

ChatGPT is built to avoid lying, as an information/helper bot. But some bots are designed for roleplay, inventing stories, generating fiction. So the difference between fiction and hallucination is awareness. -- How does a bot stay aware of fiction vs accidental falsehood?

My question: who is getting paid? -- does the payout go to the band (a business with an EIN)?, -- or to a human "representative"/"owner" of the band? -- This is a key distinction. One says: AI can have legal business personhood and own property, the other says: AI should have a legal human guardian
