Solidarity with laid-off Starbucks corporate workers.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT STARBUCKS WORKERS UNITED STANDS WITH LAID OFF CORPORATE WORKERS As store partners, we disagree with Starbucks' decision to lay off 1000+ corporate partners. In 2023, Starbucks corporate workers bravely spoke out in solidarity with our union movement and our fight for fair contracts. Now, as Starbucks lays off 1,000 corporate partners, we are raising our voices in solidarity with them. "Back to Starbucks" cannot mean failing to value partners' contributions throughout the company. CEO Brian Niccol rakes in millions and commutes to work on a private jet. He made $800,000 a day in 2024. Clearly Starbucks can and must do more to value the partners at every level who are working to build a better future at this company. Decisions like these show us that corporate workers must unionize to protect themselves and their fellow workers in all industries.
