Interested in space/science, tech/AI, Minnesota sports, running, craft beer, and progressive politics. Not necessarily in that order.
It's beyond parody at this point. This decade has to be the end of east coast political elitism.

Maybe you can cover this in your next show. Do you know if all these opinion pieces from local CEOs in the Strib are part of the new minority ownership group based out of MN?

On the Pablo/Ryan question, you should have a neither option. I picked both but it's a possible outcome.

I can't remember who has Paddack but he's dramatically increased the Twins odds of winning in consecutive games.

For yours and @johnbonnes.bsky.social competition, does WPA for your players against the Twins count?

Unrelated - any chance you can take @danhayesmlb.bsky.social's phone away?

He didn't have to. Elon retweeting him for weeks undoubtedly got him millions of video views, interviews on TV and in congress, and thousands of new substack subscribers.

He's either lying because it's obvious Elon amplifying his name to 200M followers would make him $$$ or he's too dumb to be a credible journalist.
July 22, 2025 at 8:15 AM
He's been saying over and over his family loves it here and he loves the organization and is going to finish here. I'm not sure what else he can do to convince anyone but I don't think his mind is changing days later. He just said it a week ago on camera, he will not be traded

Buxton has a no trade clause and said at the all star game he won't waive it. So I'm not sure what you're claiming here.

Congratulations!

I have to confess I was confused at first because in my world, tech, a Staff Software Engineer outranks a Senior Software Engineer.

I'm not advocating for not voting in all elections. But the school board isn't going to have meaningful impact on the destruction happening at the federal level.
June 20, 2025 at 6:25 PM
You both are being a little too flippant. There are no meaningful elections until next year. The commenter was likely asking what to do until then.

Technically he turned himself in at the advice of counsel. There might be more to the story but yeah he must have done something bad to get into that situation.

This just seems like the first step before invoking the Insurrection Act

I believe he has "admitted" to using ketamine as a prescription biweekly. Which is obviously a lie, he's an addict. But yeah, still a weird use of the meme.

Elon Musk details his prescription ketamine use, says investors should want him to ‘keep taking it’ | CNN Business
Elon Musk said he is “almost always” sober during his late-night — or, in some cases, very early morning — posting sessions on his social media platform, X.

Dan, if this one gets out of hand, does Royce get a shot at pinch hitting? This team seems like an ideal match up.

Or is he on his way to St. Paul?

Unfortunately I think BlueSky hasn't effectively been able to capture apolitical content (eg sports, movies) and celebrities so a lot of apolitical people haven't moved. It can make BlueSky seem a little more political while everyone is depressed about US politics. I still enjoy it though

Well done, Aaron. Now please write a new article about Royce Lewis in the second half last year.
May 7, 2025 at 2:56 AM
Both articles say "trade pitch." Meaning proposal. This is a type of clickbait that a lot of sports writers, especially small ones with low engagement, use to get clicks.

It's gross but it must work because it's been flooding my news feeds for the last 2 or 3 years. Especially during offseasons.

Honestly I think it's (1) an excuse for layoffs and (2) wanting to continue to prop up their commercial real estate value.

When the pendulum swings back and companies need top talent, remote will surge back as a perk for the next generation of big tech companies.

TSLA changed their modeling to exclude all of their bitcoin losses in Q1 after including them as gains in Q4. This company is a joke.
April 22, 2025 at 9:45 PM
Typo, Q1 not Q3
April 22, 2025 at 3:52 PM
It closed around $93k in Q4 and closed around $82k in Q3. So since they didn't actually sell their investment, from a reporting perspective they've lost 12-13% of unrealized earnings. It's not all gone but it's less and it's not real until they sell.
