Britain's worst Roman. Flier of pretend aeroplanes, Sanctuarian demon-botherer and Night City's varmint-in-chief.

Unless I'm actually swearing at you I'm probably not deliberately antagonising you.

Carpe diem, deinde incende
"We're"?

Sorry. I'm insufferable.

Hope next week is a bit more bearable for you, though.

I'd say, given the obvious and overwhelming evidence, how could anyone possibly disagree?

But we live in a world where people believe in a flat Earth, that the moon landings were a hoax, that drinking raw milk is good for you, and that rich men are a benefit to humanity.

She said, "The article discussed peers using teasing as a way to enforce gender norms. I do not necessarily see this as a problem."

And that's the key. All that matters to these so-called 'Christians' (#NotAllChristians) is that their book gives them licence to abuse people they hate.
November 30, 2025 at 6:54 PM
Oh, don't. It's depressing that that option isn't available.

Hang on... Small margin? I thought 52-48% was an overwhelming majority and the unquestionable Will of the People™ now and forever?
November 30, 2025 at 4:24 PM
"Fake news is the enemy of the people".

No, Seth Parnell. An unaccountable, fascistic administration unfettered by law or principle or humanity, which can order killings at will without oversight or constraint from Congress or sight of evidence, is the enemy of all people everywhere.

High water mark? No, they weren't that. But they were the last time we as a nation looked at the rest of the world, the global community, with something other than suspicion and resentment.
November 30, 2025 at 4:13 PM
I obviously don't understand what Most Favoured Nation status is. I thought I did, but I clearly don't.

I get very tedious about this, but I think it's always worth harping on about. I will never not find it remarkable that the putinist regime literally published their destabilisation plan openly back in 1997 and we did nothing to mitigate against it at all.

Ah... *Unbiased* mathematicians. As in 'no true mathematician', aye? Any mathematician who *doesn't* reassure me in this way, well, they must be biased, right?

And no, the Qur'an does not describe Wyoming. 18:86 just says a muddy spring, murky water, with some suggestion it means a hot spring.

No, it's just numerology. Everyone pushing such a 'system' will insist they alone have it right; that they found the key everyone else missed.

But it's all just selection bias and pareidolia. Seeing links and correspondences that arise by chance or manipulation and assigning them significance.
November 29, 2025 at 9:44 PM
Yes. It's a load of numerological felgercarb. I can pick up any number of similar "secret" revelations on every esoteric forum or website on the Internet. It's nothing.

we had an all-powerful creator, as monotheist traditions usually claim that we do, then that being would have been able to create us perfectly and no testing would be required, and no judgement would ever be warranted.

I'm not monotheistic, and to me the claims have never made any sense.
November 29, 2025 at 7:29 PM
This raises questions for any belief system that posits an immortal god passing any eternal judgement on a being of finite extent. It cannot be just to do so.

To say nothing of the fact that any eternal existence would ultimately become torture for a human being.

And we can't forget that if ->
November 29, 2025 at 7:29 PM
Okay. So we have a being whose lifespan is eternal. It exists throughout time and probably above time itself. Humans live on Earth for a non-infinite period.

I don't know whether you've ever actually thought about what eternity means, but any finite value measured against an infinite value is zero.
November 29, 2025 at 7:29 PM
Besides everything else, it's better for society as a whole to oppose injustices and exploitation when you see them. It's *possible* to sit back and say "fuck you, I've got mine" - but it's equally possible that one day there may be an injustice that affects you, and you will benefit from support.
November 29, 2025 at 7:13 PM
safety net will fray, and become increasingly threadbare. Unless you've the kind of wealth that will insulate you from any such effects - like Musk et al, with orders of magnitude more money than a human being could ever reasonably spend - it will catch up to you eventually.
November 29, 2025 at 7:13 PM
Yeah, but this is the point. Yes, you can be smug and sanctimonious now, because you've been in the very privileged position of not having to incur debt.

But as prices continue to be forced to, while wages are held down, your accumulated wealth will continue to depreciate in real terms. Your ->

Are human lives eternal? I mean the 'living on Earth' part - not any existence that we might experience in any afterlife.
November 29, 2025 at 7:05 PM
Then they own us. Which is the point.
November 29, 2025 at 4:39 PM
Is God eternal?
November 29, 2025 at 4:36 PM
Odd thought but it puts me in mind of how, when Jodie Whittaker was cast as the Doctor in Doctor Who, all the watching manbabies started honking "NURSE WHO, NURSE WHO" like those gulls yapping 'Mine' in Finding Nemo.

Like 'nurse' isn't an entirely respectable title. But to them, it meant 'less'.

(And in the above treat 'racist' as representing racism, misogyny, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and any other variety of bigotry.)
November 29, 2025 at 7:54 AM
They know. They don't care. This is what they voted for.

People voted for Trump so that he would hurt people they hate, and so that they would feel free to express that hate openly. They wanted to be able to point to the literal president and say "Yeah, but I'm allowed to be racist now: he is too".
