Not true. And if it’s a fucking burglar that’s breaking into your house… Are you assuming that they’re just rolling in cash and breaking into people’s homes for fun? Quite often, the criminals themselves will sue you for damages even if you were trying to prevent a home invasion. Lawyers cost$$$

Not really a gun guy myself… But the reason for the insurance is to protect the owner of the firearm in the event that the criminals decide to pursue civil litigation against you, even while you were say, defending your property from a home invasion… Which happens
