I'd rather eat my own face than go and watch an avatar film. We're coming to the end of the year and I don't think there are many good films left due at the cinema. I've got a few I've missed that I might try watching at home (bugonia, Frankenstein)

It would be easy to blame the Bristol post for how cursed their website is on mobile but this is a problem for many regional newspapers because they're all owned by the same company that imposes hellish mobile advertising on them

one of the other good vr headsets the bigscreen beyond 2 has some really neat faceplates one of which is transparent and looks great. hope valve take the hint and does faceplates.

so for the first time in decades im trying a different video player than VLC, called MPV. notably and i think what prompted me to try is that VLC doesn't update mainline ever and it still has the same dogshit old decoders and modern video files perform really bad mpv.io

honestly kinda cursed to in one breath talk about hearthsteel "ratios" and in another trying to protect people. virtual currency, particularly when it's not 1:1 real money values is intended as a dark pattern to stop people understanding how much money they're spending. not great @zorbrix.com

it would be helpful if players had some primitive shapes for housing so they didn't have to do stuff like this. it's very cool and creative, but being able to e.g. create a blue surface without pulling out a giant mirror might be cool @kurlancheek.bsky.social
