Some more diffuser anatomy. At the back the freestream air and wake interact through Kelvin-Helmholtz instability, but more so it creates a diffuser size instability that influences how the vortex structures breakdown.

Some really good initial results from a diffuser study in transient simulations. Trying to find some asymmetric flow in a diffuser and found some!!! Even captures the vorticity breakdown.

a thread of videos and images from cars bending light through pressure gradients. The video seems to determine that the low pressure behind the rear wing is low enough to refract the light. Thought to be the exhaust heat, but it is directly attached to the trailing edge.
