I made my modes as Nodes instead of Objects because I found it more intuitive to work in the scene hierarchy instead of an array of properties. That made it easy for me to customize them to get a feel I liked and define transitions. This isn't going to scale well and is messy but it works for now.

Finished revising my placeholder tileset so I'm finally ready to show what I've been working on: an action RPG for the #playdate starring a young witch who can't use any magic (yet?)! I'll be sharing progress as I work towards a playable demo (coming sooner than later, hopefully)!

Alright, non-joke version of what I'm working on. Just finished revising my tileset for the first area and I'm actually happy with it (for now)! I need to update how the map is drawn in-game so it respects the layering and add a little animation to the water but I think it's coming along nicely.
