Catching up with my #100dayproject after a lovely Easter break with family. Drawings made with buckthorn, tulip and red cabbage inks.

I love these gentle colours. Processed these tulip flowers to make ink the other day. I don’t think they will have much longevity, but it is satisfying to make colour from flowers anyway.

I’m halfway through #the100dayproject. So satisfying to see how the work is progressing.

Nice afternoon in the studio yesterday, screen printing fabric with plants processed into lake pigments last year. Good strong colours, hope they survive steaming and washing 🤞

Working away on my #100dayproject. 100 days of making botanical ink drawings. Inks here are made from red onion skins and buckthorn berries, with various modifiers added to expand the palette.

I am attempting to make some 3D forms from fabric- this is silk organza dyed with pomegranate rind and iron for the darker squares. Quite pleased it stands up! (With the aid of a two pence peace in the base) #naturaldye #handstitch

Had a nice time running a Lino print workshop at Manchester Hackspace yesterday. The kind of place I really love, open access, knowledge sharing, making stuff for fun in a ramshackle way 💕

Hello! I’ve come over here to see what’s going on 🤔 I’m an artist using plant pigments to make abstract screen prints and lots of other things! Here are some cloth collages I made recently using fabric dyed with natural pigments.
