It was the theme of last season, and it's continued into the first 2 games of this season. I get they're still rebuilding, but if they're going to take that next step, they need to learn how to finish games. 😮‍💨

Regardless of the review call, best thing for fans to do is not interfere.

I think they've lost 3 or 4 Verlander starts where they were leading in the 9th inning and Verlander in line for the win only for the bullpen to blow the lead.

I forget whether it was Slater or Shans who reported it, but one if them said there was a good chance that the JK negotiations would take until late July at the earliest to resolve. Sure enough, it's late July and nothing has changed. Just have to sit back and wait.

Hitting was a problem before the Devers trade and looks like it will continue to be a problem going forward. There were mistakes in extras, but none of it would matter if they could just hit the darn ball.

He had a similar slump last season where he kept hitting grounders to 2B/1B. Even when he does make good contact it's always seems to go right to the fielder. Needs to adjust hitting to the opposite field. Easier said than done, but that's where he had most of his success.

Yeah that's what I figured. I have zero confidence in him returning, but you never know.

For sure. I'm always for rewarding guys who are playing well in AAA. Speaking of backup C, any update on Tom Murphy? I recall he went on the 60 day IL to start the season, but haven't heard anything since.

Yeah probably just trying someone else more than anything. I thought it would be Stassi, but I saw on his MiLB page that he's on the 7 day IL.

Good news indeed. Thought he did fine as a backup C, but like most of the team he wasn't doing much at the plate aide from the 2 HRs. Hopefully some more ABs in Sacramento will be helpful for him.
