There’s a simple way to stop the insurance companies and large hospital systems from gaming the system for profit (at the expense of patients):

Single payor (like all other civilized, democratic countries).

TRUMP’S PLAN: The motivated, healthy, young people with no existing conditions will get mediocre insurance.

Everybody else: SOL.

He started new investigations and so he won’t actually release the information—even if it passes the senate (which, I think, it could).

Trump would have destroyed the evidence if he could. My bet: too many people have seen it (and possibly copied it).

Good start! We pay 6x as much for every transaction in this country versus Europe.

It’s a goldmine for banks and killer for small business and the poor.

(Better, if we had a functional government, they could limit the fees.)

Renewing tax credits is step 1.

Replacing and repealing the ACA is step 2.

Similar to student loans, the ACA had a noble goal but conniving insurers and hospitals used it to boost profits and make a necessity unaffordable.

Capitulating highlights that it was not really about healthcare.

Personally, I wish they would have addressed authoritarianism, e.g. replace CPB funding, end impoundments.

If Trump can unilaterally undo laws he doesn’t like, why vote on anything?
