🇲🇽I wrote this book for LA kids. My childhood books said winter is snow and roasted chestnuts. Winters here are sunny. Street vendors sell fruit with Tajín. We have birthdays in the park with piñatas, surrounded by urban sounds. My park to playa to yours, too. Ours. MULTICULTURAL 🇲🇽

Not gonna lie…I was nervous doing my first out-of-town, all-day school visit with a program I have never done in person before. But today was magic and I want to do it on repeat forever!! Feeling so much gratitude to my Scholastic team for making Caves a book that connects with so many 🙌
