In patients aged >90 days, prior antifungal use was associated with non-susceptible Candida bloodstream infection (OR 2.02). In young infants, hospital transmission was more influential.

59% (86/146) had CMV viraemia - strongly & independently associated with ⬆️mortality, more than quadrupling odds of death at 6-months (adjusted OR 4.02, 95%CI 1.27-12.7)

And in a phase 2 trial of LAmB, 63/105 (64%) had +RTqPCR at diagnosis. ↗️➡️whole nucleic acid load in blood (measured by RTqPCR) during antifungal treatment associated with death at various timepoints

Among 27 people w/ HIV-associated histoplasmosis (treated with amphotericin B), median Histo antigenuria levels measured by IMMY Clarus ⬇️from 35 ng/ml (26 EIA units) at diagnosis to 0.8 ng/ml (0.5 EIA units) at 6m.
