Obiges Bild ist auch eine gute Illustration davon (oder dafür?), wie idiotisch es ist, dass Firefox seine eigene Rechtschreibprüfung macht, statt einfach jene des Betriebssystems zu übernehmen. “Everything apart from ‘was’, ‘man’, and ‘in’ is wrong.” 🙄

Supposedly? According to whom? Last time I checked, Bsky were working on a separate protocol. Of course once they federate, making bridges to Mastodon for some level of interop will be possible. Just curious if there are plans for more direct Mastodon support.

‘mutual aid’ can easily mean ‘we help each other improve at the game by trying our best to kill each other's characters’; and trying to force your own idiosyncratic goal on other players can easily be perceived as trolling or griefing. Don't blame other players when they don't want that.

Klar, das übliche SNAFU. Hätte mir nicht unbedingt erwartet, dass die Ärsche von sich aus neues Equipment stellen. Aber diese Anti-Masken-Richtlinie, die Dir auch noch a priori verbietet, selber was zu verbessern, ist so unnötig dumm-dreist-gefährlich; einfach ekelhaft 🙄 🤢

Fuuuck :( Das mit dem „leiser“ ist Bullshit. Maske kann u.U. schon die Tonqualität beeinträchtigen, aber auf ein passenderes Headset wechseln wäre sehr einfach und kostengünstig; < 10€ für Mikro unter Maske mit super Klang. Würde dem/der für die Policy Verantwortlichen gern die Leviten lesen 😡

I mean, for example: If you did a simple poll and can't illustrate the results without embedding third-party software that's invasive enough that under EU law you're obliged to ask my permission beforehand? That's not an issue with the law; the problem is that your techies are super inept.

I can't concentrate on the new layout enough to form an opinion—I'm too distracted by the exact same spyware bullshit that ruined the old site. I'm aware lots of publications, including some ostensibly reputable ones, operate like this, pretending as if it's necessary. They're wrong or lying.

Photons have 0 rest mass—no inertia. When they travel through space-time, from their point of view, the movement is all space, no time. The speed of light (in vacuum) isn't primarily about light—it's the maximum speed at which _anything_ (e.g. also gravitational waves) can propagate through space.
