can't stop thinking about kyouji wondering what satomi's definition of "forever" is. it's been two weeks since satomi said "it's better that we don't meet again." the years are long and so short when you are 43. if satomi needs me for two weeks, for three months, for four years, all of that is ok.

what makes "i want to be with you forever like this" and "until you don't need me anymore, i'll be with you" so special in this context is that... what they want to do is just to see each other occasionally, to eat a meal, to have not even particularly fulfilling conversations with each other

"anywhere is fine, as long as it's with you" --> i will accept anything as long as you give it to me --> satomi eating all the pork buns and then the burgers kyouji bought him even though he's not hungry / kyouji happily drinking a vanilla shake satomi bought him even though 18yo him overdrank them

maybe it's just been so long since i've had such a rush of emotion but i feel like famiresu chp 14 is so clearly the work of the same person who did sonohoshi, the comedic timing is so offbeat and disarming but in a way that makes you want to really linger in those moments
