I agree. I thought they went harder on the people who ride the Harley bikes than the current US president. I guess if they did anything more, they would actually get cancelled.

I got into it from the video game. Was pretty fun and decided to give the show a shot. The kids are pretty cute and I enjoy a more honest depiction of children who swear behind their parent’s back. Honestly haven’t thought about it since 2018 but the non-political slice of life episodes were good.

My friend has this theory that if South Park made new episodes that were anti-trump like in the season 27 trailer, Paramount wouldn’t let it air. Basically another 200/201 but with no death threats. We will see when the new episodes come out but I’d like to see how the Canadian characters again.

I honestly don’t know what happened with the writing. It’s like after the stick of truth game released, they forgot how to write jokes. Season 18 had The Cissy and Grounded Vindaloop and Season 19 had Tweek x Craig. 2/3 of them were stand alone episodes and I believe took more than a week to produce

I am very surprised by the amount of fanfics but it’s imperative to remember that the show is more than its politics. Half of the existing episodes are about kids being kids. I’m gen Z so I know they have seen many episodes but tend to focus on the character driven ones because those tend to be good

Maybe it’s because I’m not American but the show is more than its politics. I love the episodes where the kids are just being kids. The political episodes make a good chunk of the show but it’s not anymore than half of the show.

I agree. I personally find the show’s takes on racism and the other isms really bizarre after so many rewatches. However, outside of two episodes - it’s so pro gay it’s kinda odd. I thought the show runners were trying to be contrarian but it seems genuine for whatever reason.

Well there was a period between the poorly structured shock humour seasons and unfunny political episodes where it was just the kids being kids. That was the sweet spot for the show but the showrunners decided to pivot more to politics because they had complete creative control over everything.

Alien isolation but I’m stuck because the alien keeps killing me. Booted it back up for Halloween but have been trying to play more of it.
