There’s no protests in Munich today (and I’m home sick this weekend anyway) but I stand alongside everyone in solidarity.

The way I see it, inflation is simply a greed tax placed upon the general population for the benefit of the rich.
Not that this is always the case (Germany 100 years ago for example), but in too many cases, & present moment being no exception, I see it largely based in excess and greed from the top

I hesitated posting this because past me wouldn’t be satisfied with the performance, but I’m also proud of it.
A few weeks back I was randomly asked to solo with the local choir. I had 2 weeks to get the song down & I haven’t sung opera/classical for almost 25 years.

Took Loki to Dachstein last week for a few days. It was the first trip we have done in a long time and it was good to be in the mountains.
“Vacation” was a new experience for Loki and towards the end he finally started to enjoy it. I think he might enjoy it a bit more next time.

Here’s two more I made in my watercolor sketchbook. Each one watercolor alone and then with addition of pen to finish. The mountain landscape I used colored pens, not just brown. I’m finding it hard to control the thickness or consistency of pen lines and still need work but I like these better

I’ve started playing around with adding pen to my watercolor sketches in my journal but I’m not sure I really know what I’m doing. I feel I can do ok watercolor for a beginner, and I can draw fine with pen alone, but both combined seems harder. I posted this pic once but then added pen, see captions

This is my second watercolor journal, one size bigger than the mini size. Also with some drawing and writing paper, a paint protection card, interior envelopes and tabs, 2 bookmarks, clips. These are really satisfying to make!

I hated the watercolor paper I had, it was 0° cotton. So I turned it into several watercolor travel journals that I made from scratch.
I like it much better now and I only do smaller studies on it for practice. I love how the journals turned out, they were fun to make!
