Broadly, yes, "antifa" is just short for antifascist, and the term was largely spread by fascist and fascist-adjacent groups to obfuscate what groups who rallied around antifascist talking points believed in. This is simply one step in a long traditional of authority villainising its critics.

A war on terror justified by an event that.... happened decades after the campaign started? Because the current Israel-Palestine war is just the current phase of a multigenerational project to erase the Palestinian people, largely backed by Christian nationalists wanting to cause the apocalypse.
