Hobbit with a most unusual interest in law, government, and national security.

There is some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for.
Secretary Hairgel desperately wants to be seen as the sort of alpha male special forces warrior that the War On Terror made into a cultural icon of badassery. But he doesn't care enough to actually discipline himself to learn how to win wars instead of how to look/sound like a badass on TV.

...badassery the War on Terror created. But we lost that war. Now Ol' Whiskileaks demands the entire national security apparatus cosplay along with him while neglecting the central role of logistics, intelligence, and diplomacy in achieving any desired end state in ongoing or looming conflicts.

Specifically the "Yeah, I could have been a SEAL, but" variety. Really wants you to think he's some badass.

Not here, but phone calls are definitely being made from the Chinese embassy.

He will be your master or your enemy, but never your partner or ally. He has enemies he respects, but he respects none of his vassals. Paying him tribute now just marks you as a pawn to be exploited further later. And by then your spine may not remember how to stand up for yourself. 2/2

People need to go to jail for this. Democrats need to say that people will, one day, go to jail for all these crimes.

Trump's irrational need to humiliate Zelenskyy is directly tied to him being impeached for trying to strong-arm Zelenskyy into investigating Biden and Zelenskyy refusing.

Trump is a monster who must have consequences imposed on him brutally if we are ever to outlive this full embrace of autocracy.

They know they'll be bailed out again.

It exempts the Uniformed Services, which would include civilians employed by the services, not just the service members, wouldn't it?

State Department is not exempt, though.

This somehow requires the military to determine whether every currently serving Service member is or has ever exhibited symptoms of gender dysphoria in the next 30 days. Lol. Lmao.

Lol, he will never get any of the information. Congress has been cast aside, it is no longer a coequal branch of government. It will not get a say on how Elon Musk runs the private operation that is supplanting the U.S. Government.
