Obviously POTT is now separate and I don’t want to be snarky, but am really wondering whether it’s worth continuing to subscribe to the Athletic when large sections of its staff were trying their hardest to pimp our best player out, all summer.

This whole "nothing to do with me guv" line is getting a bit old to be honest. Just accept the responsibility and accountability that goes with the position - he'd certainly be taking the acclaim if we'd managed to get Guehi or another marquee signing.

Removing benefits from wealthy pensioners, pay rises to public sector workers, nationalising rail and bus services, likely increases to CGT and inheritance tax in the budget…ease up on the hyperbole, please.
