The American dream has been dead for decades as there isn't really a way to see significant class change in a lifetime, but those in power (from both parties) tell us it can happen to placate the masses while they get richer and we get poorer.

The GOP should be really careful playing this game. The majority of recent elections have had more people vote against them nationally than for them. Democrats could do some damage if they decide to play dirty too.
