Can confirm, the recent documentary 'When We Went MAD!: The Unauthorized Story of MAD Magazine' is two hours very well-spent. (I figure "unauthorized" is there just for legal reasons because interviewees include loads of writers, artists, and editors from the Usual Gang of Idiots.)

Not the final cover, but a new Absolute-sized collection by Darwyn Cooke to look forward to next year.

Are these from the recent 'Un vie en dessins' volume? btw, in addition to the regular colour albums and original art editions, DUPUIS also published a series of four "intégrale" collections in black and white, covering the first 24 albums.

I have a few postcards from when we corresponded a bit in the early 2000s that I don't expect to part with until I'm too old to remember him.

As noticed on FB Marketplace. Note the pricing change - for uninitiated, the Famous First Edition tabloid-sized books from the 1970s were complete *reprints* of selected key books from the very early years of DC Comics. They do NOT sell for $20k, more typically in the $20-40 range.

As we move into fall and correspondingly cooler temperatures, this is your irregular reminder that building a Corsi-Rosenthal Box or Comparetto Cube to keep the air in your immediate indoor environment clean is both very easy AND very inexpensive. #COVID #CRbox

Just a reminder to be vigilant when shopping for books on Amazon. The one at the far left (Tonight in Jungleland: The Making of Born to Run by @peteramescarlin.bsky.social) is the actual book, released on August 5; the other two are (very likely AI-generated) knock-offs, platformed a week later.

Kudos to @rianhughes.bsky.social and @koreropress.bsky.social for getting their 'Arthur Ferrier’s Pin-up Parade' box set into my hands a month ahead of what the Kickstarter campaign had promised. Looks great! www.koreropress.com/arthur-ferri...
