A long but rewarding day yesterday, sorting this out. Today’s task, get it wet and warm 😊

Ending the season as we started. Full of smiles and mis-placed optimism 😂 Not sure we’ll get on the pitch like we did at Haven, but similarly blessed with unseasonable weather, and a shorter drive home at least. C’mon England!

...them or not (is "Print at home" just a misnomer?).

I *think* I'm OK to just the QR on my phone, but I'd be a bit more reassured by this vital piece of info being confirmed; there's nothing on the RFL's 'Fan Guide' though 🤷‍♂️

Advanced warning: tomorrow I take delivery of what will become my second reef tank (I got rid of the first 6 years ago); you may soon be very bored of various updates relating to this!!

To whet your appetite, here's two shots of my new water prep area & the empty space the tank will live in :-)

If the game has as many highs and lows as the sign-up process, we're in for a treat! :-)

A bizarre coincidence in podcast titling as I get a Strong Recommend for the title of the next @privateeyenews.bsky.social episode that I’ve worked my way back to 😳

I presume my contract with Sky allows me a refund for their inability to broadcast the latest Salford match…

Err, I think you’ll find it’s one…

This was a beast of a step. Super tricky and required a strip back of one leg due to mis-alignment. Got there in the end though.

Orwell was wrong: two legs good, four legs better.

It’s been a while. Re-prioritising a few things to allow for some R&R and a more sustainable balance. Which means this beast is back under construction 😊

Just on Sullivan @ancientandloyal.com, I spotted this at Wire’s recent semi at TWS. It seems Saints will have to get the tippex out too!

A crowd of 70k at Wembley would make this the highest attended Ashes series in the UK in history. The record stands at just over 140k for the 1994 series. Here’s the attendance by series…

Credit Jack Welsby for getting into the spirit of the North East during the Leeds game. If they'd agreed to give £180 to MND everytime someone imitated the Angel of the North, Betfred would be bankrupt now. All I saw in that game was him stood behind every Saints ptb looking like this...

End of holiday year ‘use it or lose it’ day today (and Monday). First big job on the list: sorting out additions to the shirt collection 😊

The first Wire game of the season, and sadly a new era with the 105 year tradition of a match day programme at an end. Not to fear, as I've done my own publication to plug the gap. The Unofficial Programme can be printed as a 4 page A4 folder. DM me if you want a copy & I'll add you to the list 👍

This comprehensive enough for you ;-)

Big day coming up tomorrow 😊

Looking forward to seeing some of the future talent on show today. Great initiative the new cup format IMHO.

Breaking new ground next weekend, which is what the new format is all about. Credit to @therfl.bsky.social 👍

Looking forward to this 😊

*competitive match in rugby league.

Here's the top 10. Note (for anyone seeing Wigan's total for the first time): there's currently a review on-going on the status of the 1935 match V. Cote Basque, so this figure may be revised to 4,976 very soon!

It may have been a 14+ hour day at work (16+ including commute), but the budget’s are just about done, & my amazing missus had prepped tea for me to cook when I eventually got home. I’m calling it a good day 👍

It’s only 08:45 and my head already hurts. Damn you Steve / Stephen Robinson (and maybe you too, the other Steve Robinson)…
