And Musk has commented he’ll leave Tesla if his pay package is refused. I say “good”, don’t let the door hit you in the butt! Tesla would get my order if he is no longer associated with them. I want to buy from a company focused on smart cars not AI and robots.

I don’t see Musk stepping back, but while Musk is still associated with Tesla, I will not be spending my money there…even if/when he brings out a $25K car that does 500 miles…the brand is dead to me.

I am 100% a potential Tesla purchaser (model Y ideal for us) who keeps on being put off and delaying when Musk opens his mouth and airs his politics or facilitates division (e.g. via XTwitter). Our next car will either be a Lucid Air Pure or we’ll wait for the Rivian R2. One lost purchase.
