Marketer, travel writer, historian, volunteer, serial fan (but not of cereal or necessarily serials). Recently adopted a rescue dog, although who's training whom is debatable.
Well, yes. It's not unusual.

Really sorry to read this. His plays flatter the audience, I always think. On a good day with the wind in the right direction, you think you're following the concepts #TomStoppard is playing with... and then it's gone, and you just have to laugh.

Her speechwriters have a longrunning bet going, about who can make her say the stupidest thing.

He was a player of very limited ability (except for getting sent off). He decided to aim for notoriety. Frankly, the best thing would be for everyone - including prospective employers - to ignore him.

Definitely better than a long speech. Just imagine: "One day, I shall return. Yes, James Bond will return. Till then there must be no spinoffs, no fan tantrums. Just make sure your drink is shaken, not stirred, and I'll do likewise with mine. Bottoms up!" #WilliamHartnellIsJamesBondInCarryOn007

As a longterm fan (Tom onwards) who's pleased and grateful that the show returned so successfully, I find the uninformed entitledness of some absolutely staggering. As Oscar Wilde nearly put it, each fan kills the thing he loves.

JN-T had a bit of a magpie tendency. AIUI Nyssa wasn't going to be a permanent companion either. Like other producers since, JN-T argued 3 companions was "returning the magic" of the original cast, which in itself was flawed (Susan underused)...

I prefer the "award losing writer" approach, which retains a nice ambiguity. Did they not win the award, or did they win and forget where they put it? Ooh, they're enigmatic. OR ARE THEY? (Cont'd p94)

Currently in Ayr, now looking forward to Arnie's rendition of Tam o'Shanter. (Or William Shatner. Tam o'Shatner. Hmm...)
