I used to sketch a lot with pen and I'm actually happy with how this came out, except for starting too close to the edge of the page and not leaving room to continue the rest of the body :|

First time making a frangipane tart with poached pears. This recipe is from Tom Moore's book "Crust". So far everything I've made from this book has been an instant top 10.

Happy Friday. While we still haven't got snow I was inspired by Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons this morning. Bill Watterson is one of my all-time favourite illustrators and I'm glad I've been able to pass on my love of Calvin and Hobbes to my son, who's now read all my old books.
