Ethyelene has different uses (and challenges) to Electricity.

You could compare it to Hydrogen - A gaseous energy store that can be burn.

Also Ethylene is a valuable chemical feed stock. If you need to use polyetheylene why not make if from CO2?

errrm, I'm not so sure.

1 ppmv of CH4 will produce ~ 1 ppmv of CO2.

Global warming potential is based on mass of material (not moles or volume) but the ~50% change in mass going from CO2 to CH4 is dwarfed by the x80 GWP.

In terms of greenhouse effect, no it's not silly to burn waste methane to produce water and CO2.

Most controlled methane release will be burnt in a flare stack (I think mainly to reduce the risk of fuel air explosions)

However, it is a waste of energy. Much better to capture the methane and use it

Yes, I have 2 unmatched monitors.

My main monitor is landscape and central. The second is actually more rectangular and is set portrait for things that work better viewed long.

It fit better in the physical space, and I think I make better use of the screen space.
