I captured the data for this image of the Horsehead Nebula about four years ago, and never got around to processing it. I watched a YouTube video about some new processing tools today, so I decided to try them out. I hope you like the photo!

The night after the storm, much of Melbourne was without power and the skies were clear. I knew that the night sky would be darker than it has been for years, so I took my camera out the back and set up a shot.
The Southern Cross and Eta Carina Nebula

This was from a lovely shoot on a hot summer's day, in the beautiful Australian bush. We found a stream, and Piper needed no encouragement to take a cooling dip.
