Medicaid can cut profit to the bone efficiently, we know it can because it does. And this means hospitals don't profit, sure, and they have to make things efficient and do layoffs. Some capability is lost. But this isn't worth comparing to the trillions in savings

Your only answer to "literally just let private people buy medicaid" is that it would save so much money it would put certain high end specialists out of business. Which is maybe a problem but it's fundamentally a tradeoff i can live with.

I think the easiest case to make is that social media is specifically trying to run ads - sell you things - and it's very successful at this. And so people constantly feel like there's tons of things they're missing out on.

Canada also got rid of an unpopular left leaning leader to get a moderate in place and it went well for them. There are other countries besides the USA and the UK.
