I worked briefly for a queer non profit running their thrift store. constantly blew my mind how disassociated their board members were from the community. They truly felt the battle was won years ago & couldn’t get their head around how it hasn’t, & how it links directly to so many current issues

I know it’s a trivial detail, but I also can’t help but think about just *how* dated the reference point is! It’s just this really surface-level example of exactly how out of touch she is with the current world
