I'm not sure how many managed to escape before the Russians rolled in. Nor am I sure just what the population of Maripol was. A city of this size being genocided (Down to the cats, dogs and chickens) hasn't happened since WWII.

They couldn't wrap their mind around the threat and didn't seem to think Russia was really gonna do it. But right after the man split Russians came in and killed every last man, woman and child in the city. That's what I think people don't realize. The entire population of Maripol is DEAD.

I watched this mini doc about a journalist in Maripol like minutes before it fell. It was really weird and heartbreaking. The guy is literally running down the street warning people cause he KNEW what was going to happen. They just kinda shrugged it off and laughed.

Chillingly enough leading up to the events of Jan 6th the 'brain trust' of the coup were sitting around a table talking about the risk of potential civil unrest. Somebody in the group allegedly answered. "Kent State the bastards."
