...There is unquestionably a lot of enthusiasm and interest for doing this again but BIGGER.

The day concluded with a lunch at Countway Library where approximately a dozen of us began brainstorming for 2026...

In all likelihood, we had at least the same amount of attendees tuning in online, but the Zoom feeds were unfortunately the low point of the endeavor. IT apologized for various mishaps, and remote viewers were sent an explanation, with the promise of recorded sessions to come.

Catering provided breakfast (special thanks to Rachel Carney there), and guest WiFi was provided to all. Topics ranged from publishing to autism, from race and colonialism to youth media literacy, and from cancer previvorship to long COVID.

Among the 70+ creators, scholars, and enthusiasts, we had Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, and New York all represented — even Canada! Sixteen different higher education and healthcare institutions were also represented, and MCPHS Marketing came out to cover the whole event.

...Between 70-75 in-person attendees came to enjoy the Griffin Building, with publishers like Street Noise Press, organizations like the Boston Comic Arts Foundation, and student groups like the Boston University Student Graphic Medicine Club all setting up tables with us.
