Ironically, there is one theatrical short where the premise was that they were just doing it as a farce. even weirder is that they actually spoke in that one, too. It's "The Lonesome Mouse".

It also makes sense in the general escalation of fights. Goku literally with God to beat The Devil and his Son, and became the Strongest Man on Earth afterwards. Let the next threat be from space and make him an alien so it makes sense for the others to never catch up.

Sadly, a lot of channers are about to find out that just because they got turned into one of the main recruitment arms of MAGA doesn't mean that The Annoying Orange is going to have their backs. They have neither the money nor Anonymous to get them out of this. Hiro might just sell and bail on them.

Lest we forget, Gainax's very first series was a giant mecha OVA that had segments dedicated to discussing the sci-fi mechanics of the setting AND highly detailed animation of breasts moving.

IIRC, Cruel Angel's Thesis was made because Anno wanted to go with some bombastic Russian classical music for the OP, but either the producers or the advertisers wanted a standard J-Pop song instead.

That does seem like a genuine failure on WB's part to not provide its main streaming service enough money to maintain the marquee properties of major brands they own to keep up viewership.

Alt-timeline where NEC bought SNK and Sega in 1993, releasing the Neo Saturn with genuine support as a true, arcade perfect competitor to the PS1. Xbox just stays a line of gaming PCs and the Dreamcast line takes it place in the 2000s. GBC gets real competition with NGPC and Digimon games for real.

A lot of GameCube's woes came from third-party companies still getting their revenge on the company. The biggest question for me is, did Iwata change enough of their corporate culture to be forgiven, or did third parties become too greedy to care about past scruples with Nintendo?

Absolutely. People forget that the reason why the Switch had so many Wii U ports is that they didn't want what few good games they made for it sink with the ship.

Now, did he mean industry-wide or specifically within Level-5 itself? Either way is problematic, but if its the later, Level-5 is pretty much proving that relying on AI is solidly a waste of time because its still taking them forever to make any of their games.
