The real message is to just let corporations develop their tech with the promise that it'll fix all our problems. The whole movie is really just watching to companies fight for market dominance. There's not a real message outside of that whatsoever and it revolves into propaganda.

Ares almost delivers the message that a perfect soldier isn't someone that blindly follows orders, but being able to think/feel and be human is what makes things worth fighting for. But it doesn't find the right words and the message falls flat because they obviously dont really believe that message

I was ready to accept a reason why Kevin Flynn was in the 80's Grid, but their explanation wasn't even an explanation. They just put him in there to make fans happy. Tron isn't even in the Tron movie. Like wtf. Why couldn't you get the old actors back and continue the ISO sotryline?

SPOILERS: The consistency was so bad as well. Why was Flynn's Arcade the 80's version of the grid. But not the Legacy version? How is there more than one Grid? Sam wouldn't have given that tech to companies. He stole from Encom because he was against them keeping progress behind a paywall.
