"AI" for search engines gives the series of words that is statistically most likely to be correct. It's not intelligent and it's wrong frequently. That article you sent says the number of people reading has declined about 4% over the last ten years but if you include audiobooks there's no change.

This article states several times that the number of people reading is about the same, they're just reading several fewer books per year. Soooo you're kinda proving my point. Not trying to attack you. This is exactly why LLMs (Google AI) isn't a good replacement for humans.
