Its a valid concern of course, but then again I think its better for any writer to just do the proper tagging and go on with their original vision.
At least speaking from experience when I know what Im in for its way better than getting caught offguard! And gives the freedom to the writer.

Give it the proper taggging and appropriate content warnings before the fic itself.
From then on if someone wants to read after the disclaimer its on them, never limit your creativity worrying if people will like something you do or not!
