Former attorney in Tallahassee. Currently ‘off grid’.
Been on a mini social media hiatus. It’s a long game, to curate what you see in your feeds and I’m getting there, but simply not clicking on certain subjects doesn’t do it fast enough. Just avoiding it all is easier and very peaceful.

When are these Nepo-Owners going to get it? Unless they stumble upon a Mahomes, they are doomed to never winning. The Ford, Mckasky, Bidwell, Irsay, Brown, Adams, Johnson and especially the Spanos kids know fuck all about winning. Sell your teams, fools. The Rooney kids get a pass because coaching.

So, Matthew Sluka quit what would go on to be a top 25 team with a shot at making the CFP to go to (checks notes) James Madison? A program that just made the jump from FCS. Negotiating tactic #1- if you have no leverage, don’t negotiate.

Dean Spanos rn “But I bought that fancy new practice facility! I extended our star QB! Hell, I even paid for the best coach available! I spared no expense!”

It’s going to be very interesting to see how the Chargers are going to blow this game. Let’s be clear- they will lose, it’s only a matter of how inexplicably awful the method by which they accomplish this will be.

Am I the only one who thinks Common can’t act?

Good game tonight between two teams I don’t hate. Refreshing that the winning coach doesn’t thank Jesus, he just gets to the analysis. Now I have to watch the other semi where I hate both teams, though Texas is lower in my hatred scale, so hook em horns!

Serious question: has anyone ever taken Pete Prisco’s picks seriously? If so, did you bet using them, and how much did you lose before you realized he knows fuck all?

I don’t see why Joe Burrow gets so much love. Sure, he has great stats, but watching him this year I see a mechanically efficient guy who hits open receivers. I don’t see a ton of playmaking or back foot dimes like Herbert.

I think Georgia recruits their QBs based on how well their names would fit in a country club setting:
Gunnar Stockton
Carson Beck
Stetson Bennett
JT Daniel’s
“Well, Carson old sport, will you and bunny be joining us for doubles squash after cocktails?”

2024 is the houseguest that just won’t leave. Fuck off, already, 2024*. You’re drunk.

*great year for sports, though

Watched some football, a little hoops and Bad Santa, which still cracks me up. It was a good Xmas.

People who have had severe head trauma often report losing the previous days, weeks even months of memories. So does that mean since I can remember right now, I won’t be suffering a head injury in the near future?

Rickey Henderson was a top five outfielder all time. He was also the greatest player who threw left handed but batted right. He even made referring to oneself in the first person a thing. He was probably the inspiration for the ‘Jimmy’ character in that one episode of Seinfeld.

Bro did I just see KG in the new Superman trailer? As dad Kent?

Watching the Netflix version of 3 Body Problem. It’s a nice simplification of the Chinese version (or book). Am I the only one who thinks that Ye Wenjie is right about humanity?

Looks like it’s reality time for the Chargers. It was too soon to think Harbaugh had turned this team around. The defense is being exposed by Mayfield. Early turnovers are the only semblance of offense for the Bolts.

Went to the theater to see Gladiator II. Before it started, a few of the stars appeared on screen thanking us for seeing it as it was intended: on the big screen.
We’re here. We paid. You don’t need to thank us. Just deliver a nice movie.

Dear Dan Mullen:
Vegas is a wonderful place. You should coach the UNLV Football Team. It would look really good on your resume and we can all forget that Florida ever happened!

Thank you, Barry Odom, for making UNLV Football relevant, if only for two years. Good luck at Purdue. You had the Rebels within a game of a CFP berth, which is truly impressive. The important takeaway is that it CAN be done. Probably gonna be a little more difficult in the B10, though.

Congrats, UNLV Football- your reward for a great season will probably be the LA Bowl sponsored by Gronk. Sounds silly, but an easy roadie for fans from Vegas!

While rinsing out my milk frother today I couldn’t help but feel guilty since there are mothers in sub-Saharan Africa who have to schlep ten kilometers to fetch a few gallons of potable water to feed their families.

I hear the song ‘Goodbye Blue Sky’ when I check in here. Is that a good thing?
