I look at it as were they dominate in the era that they played. They were two dominant players during that time of baseball

Hypothetical 2028 ballot- Mattingly, Delgado, Murphy, Schilling, Whitaker, Hernandez, Evans, Cone. That’s a tough ballot. You could switch Cone for Lofton, Edmonds, Santana, Hershiser among others but that a tough, solid ballot.

Even when Kent was getting interviewed on TV just now he said he wished Mattingly and Murphy were elected with him. He knows!!! Seems the Vet committee is righting more recent wrongs but letting others linger. Congrats to Delgado for coming close

Probably will be on the next one in two years now that Dick Allen and Dave Parker are in now and there is room on that ballot. He could go on either one to be honest. He contributed in both eras

He should but he was on the non-players/executives ballot a couple years ago. He did well on that so will probably be on it again next year.

I find this ballot hard to pick 7/8 let alone 10. However, his votes for Vizquel, K-Rod, and Pettite are just complete wastes. If vote for 5, vote for ones that can get the nod closer to election. Those three have zero chance.
