With how much queerbaiting is in the game, I am so happy the 20th anniversary finally said fuck it, they're together.

I'm annoyed enough as is they're doing a doomsday scenario where the Blood Elves apparently still care if a guy who showed up to stop the apocalypse from unleashing at their home walks into the wrong side street or not.

But at least they are mostly moving away from this dumbassery.

Also include Salandria more.

I'm sure I'm forgetting other younger characters who are related to or important to the big wig MSQ characters as well.

We need more and new blood to keep Warcraft alive past TLT.

Its good they're doing it with Arator.

They need to continue with Andiun

They need to continue with Wrathion

They need to bring Durak into the MSQ (Preferably being a Warlock which would be such a fun twist).

And sure why not throw in the mary sue elf twins Giramar & Galadin

Arator embodying the idea of "The faction conflict is stupid and dumb and we're mostly done with it" pisses off all the most absolutely annoying people in the fandom and I gleefully watch it.

And hope Blizzard continues to ignore their pitiful mewling about it.

I am hoping Midnight is not like this.

Vague spoilers I guess?

But they set up a Blood Elf-led expedition to investigate weird Lightbloom incursions which seems to be the 12.0.7 plot.

And then Zul'Aman ends with an obvious 12.1 tease.

And then 12.2 will be Xal's final bow I think.

I do think everything I've seen of Midnight has me hopeful in this specific regard. We still don't ultimately know how exactly 12.0 ends, just major plot points, but they've set up little side stuff for 12.1 and 12.2 and even things like 12.0.7 that I know they're going to do.

True, him not understanding why it had to stop. AHHHH I hope when they do the next one (Personally I want WoD Remix so badly), he's a bit older and that's kind of the meta throughline is seeing him growing up.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was sad about that. It was such a knife-twist I didn't see coming.

I was like oh they're just doing a fun fluff finale quest and left it going, "Man fuck you whomever wrote this into the game" haha.

I love what they're doing with Eternus. A lot.

Vashj, Kael'thas, and Illidan were all done so horrendously badly that all 3 of them had to have their major plots in Legion and Shadowlands be about retconning how stupid and horrible they were in BC.

Because in BC they were clearly, "Member us from Warcraft 3!?!?" and nothing more.
December 3, 2025 at 6:18 PM
Illidan's role in BC was such nonsensical bullshit that they had to spend multiple moments in game after his death to try and explain it, from the cata Well of Eternity dungeon to the entirety of his Legion plot, as well as a whole ass novel to try and salvage his BC story.
