Things improved in the past few months, but it wasn't enough and a lot of people had already given up on the game. They also introduced a new mechanic that altered the gameplay and some people didn't like it.

Some people also weren't satisfied with the characters they were choosing to add.

It's a very, very long story, so in short, they messed up quite a few times, by downgrading some features from the beta, including the overall gameplay. Cosmetics were expensive and the characters hard to obtain, events were grindy and required you to play boring singleplayer rounds.

I do think that we shouldn't be dismissive of the current problems like the rise of the far right, the economical hardship, the low fertility late and etc. but the EU is far from a sinking ship.

From what I remember most people didn't like how floaty it was, your character pretty much flew around the arena.

For me personally it was way too fast, I couldn't even keep track of my character at times, but they definitely made it too slow.

As for how you obtain them, I feel like events are a cool way though only when they are fun and not repetitive.

Drops from social media can be a bit annoying, for example 2 years after escaping tiktok I had to make a new account for the cape.

I have been playing for almost 10 years and I find them neat. It's pretty cool that they are more accessible, though the selection is still pretty limited.

I also really like how they decorate the elytra, which you tend to wear most of the time.
