Rita's endoscopy found the source of the hemorrhage, but it's in a location on her duodenum which makes surgery extra complicated. She's currently being worked on right now. We got a long visit before they took her to the OR, but I'm just hoping this photo's not the last memory I have of her alive.

She loves sticking her face into shoes, but really hates feet. she lays close to my desk chair so that she can put one paw on my knee. Sometimes she starts purring so loud just because we look at each other across the room, and it means a lot to know this little creature must love me too

Been up all night at the emergency vet because my baby girl isn’t feeling very good… she’s got something bleeding internally and needs a transfusion 😞 but she’s feisty and yelling even with like a cup of blood in her body so I hope the only permanent damage will be to my wallet

We found a hotel with a hot spring not far off the route so we stayed there last night. Had to chase this little stinker out from under the beds to get going in the morning but everything’s still 👌

Rita is eating a little less than I’d like and periodically yells in the car but she hasn’t had any crate accidents yet and is being a good brave girl at all the hotel rooms. Honestly she doesn’t seem overly anxious at all so we haven’t been forcing her to take any gabapentin
