I think Metroid games having NPCs that talk and have unique personalities that help flesh out the world and lore is a good thing actually (Even if that one guy is a bit cringe).

I went to go... "aquire" a "backup" of Gunvalkyrie (which I totally, 100% actually own a copy of, don't ask for proof, just trust me) for the original Xbox, and I almost committed a crime.
