The fact that it has MILLIONS of views is so discouraging too. You can almost tell that it has somehow painted the series under a massive negative light to practically everyone none the wiser.

Don't think so. Monika absolutely loves the player, while Mita just wants to add them to her cartridges collection in bitterness. Maybe it'd work better if it's any other Mita, but Monika would probably ignore them because "they are not real".
