Okay. Was looking for Perseids, but caught this instead! From Toronto. Amazing! What rocket launch is this from? It’s going the wrong way! @philplait.bsky.social @planet4589.bsky.social

This is our star. I love how it the plasma dances. This was taken by the Goode Solar Telescope at Big Bear Solar Observatory. @nso.edu.web.brid.gy

I am FREAKING out. When it’s spring and your cat knows there’s a centipede somewhere. #freakingout

Massive sunspot! But it's been strangely quiet. I wish we'd get a decent solar flare.

Look at this monster sunspot turning our way!

I have to post this 35th Hubble annivesary pic. I got lost in it the other day when it was released. It's just SO gorgeous. This is NGC 5335 which is categorized as a flocculent spiral galaxy (these galaxies are VERY cool).

LOOK. AT. THIS. This is the Sombrero Galaxy (Messier 104). It's a new image from Hubble, and it's stunning. I suggest you go to the site and click on the zoomable image. Wowza. esahubble.org/images/heic2...

Our good boy had a vet visit today, which he finds traumatic. A two-minute drive, and it’s actually like he’s been shipped overseas, including severe drooling. But all is good! And he was a good boy.

Happy to say that I am finally well enough to be back at work! Yesterday was my first day after almost two months. Missed my colleagues and am happy to be back!

Oi. More than 24 hours of snow. This is not normal for Toronto. Well…it used to be. Was a perfect time to make chilli.
February 17, 2025 at 3:57 AM
This is kinda nutty for Toronto. And we have two more snowstorms coming, potentially. I’m done with February.
February 13, 2025 at 3:36 AM
So, we’re in the middle of a snowstorm here in Toronto.

I had a chest CT scan on January 9/10. Then, on January 13, I had this insane reaction. It was incredibly painful.

So, yeah...the Geminids are peaking!
December 12, 2024 at 1:30 PM
Visited the Global Meteor Network's site (Geminids this week!), and saw this. Though I have not been IN space, I observe space regularly and, yes, it is indeed fun.

Happy Gotcha Day to my little weirdo baby, Gemini. Found this fluffy thing crying on a freezing cold winter night while I was looking for some early Geminid meteors, and now she never leaves my side.

Just went to check in on that other platform. Yup. It's still the same.

Did Bluesky create lists for me based on what I "like" most? Because, well...cats. Fair.
