For real. There's so many layers to this. There are plenty of genres, styles, and systems I love but just don't click right with my natural GM style.

Horror? Pulp? In my sleep!

Intrigue, fantasy, SciFi, wuxia, mystery? I constantly feel like I'm stumbling through.

Lol. Not at all. But those that swing away from crunch often end up singing away from the "game" part entirely.

High Card, Go Fish, and Candy Land are still games by definition, but not particularly fun games and certainly not for repeated or extended play.

Same, lots of PbtA stuff is too light for my preference.

I want enough bits and bobs on the sheet to keep me busy plotting what to do next. I want this battle to feel different because they had cover, but I don't give a shit about how sturdy or complete the cover was.

Sounds fun as hell, especially for a chance to try Eat the Reich, but school plus 3 weekly games got me way too busy lately. 😢
