Maybe, and they'll have to deal with us rubbing their faces in the massive federal deficit if they actually get it through, which isn't guaranteed. I'd rather be in that situation than the current periodic idiotic game of chicken with the faith and credit of the United States.

He was a financier and criminal who donated a large amount to the Democratic party. Bill Clinton pardoned him on his way out of office. There was a hot second in 2001 when political news couldn't shut up about it, and then everyone moved on and mostly forgot about it.
