That makes total sense taxes are expensive and it is to pay for events like this which is good for the city but many people struggle due to the high taxes. So there definitely is pros and cons to this

Today we talked about money spent by hosting big events. In 2027 Regina will be hosting the Grey Cup meaning that we will be paying for the cost of the Grey cup happening. This article talks about how much it costs to host the Grey Cup and it is a lot of money!

In sport power is not always a positive thing. Many coaches experience negative pressure from the athletes and fans. Many athletes experience a loss of power from coaches being that they hold authority over them. Many teammates as well contribute to a negative sport environment.

Playing through my injuries allowed me to still play but some of the times it caused more pain for me. So in my opinion it just depends on the person and the injury as well as the situation. Different situations call for different choices to be made.

Riggs was a male tennis player who said that no matter how old he got he would always be able to beat a woman. Billie wanted to test this and she ended up winning. She faced the sexual norm that women were expected to be less competitive and less capable in sports than men. She proved them wrong.

Someone who has struggled with challenges of gender norms is Billie Jean King, she was a famous tennis player in the 1970s. She fought getting equal prize money for women. In 1973 she won the “Battle of Sexes” match, which was a tennis match. This match was held between her and Bobby Riggs.

A Canadian Indigenous athlete and coach is Tom Longboat. Tom is from the Onondaga Nation and was born in 1887. He was known for his speed, endurance and running style. Being that he was so successful he changed many stereotypes that were made towards Indigenous athletes and coaches.
