do you remember the day the albatross flew into the mast of that boat in the shipyard in newport

that guy rushed over and chopped off its head on the dock

it was so fucked up

i couldn’t believe any boat left the harbour after that

i feel like a boat that capsized
i did not think it would happen but im turning back over , not sinking
my mast is dragging on the rocky ocean floor
the waves are pushing me over the wrong way
i don’t think it’s meant to be this way
somehow the surface appears

nobody chooses legislated poverty

internalized ableism is weaponized to shame disabled people for needing support , and everyone is mad at the wrong people

gatekeeping other peoples trauma and lived experience is cop behaviour

a lot of people are against lived experience because it provides an outlet for making elitism obsolete

the societal punishment that was unleashed when i stopped being able to be productive has made everything so much harder

it’s structural violence and it’s how they move forward eugenics

patriarchy shames us for any reaction to its violence that isn’t a display of resilience, and even when it is its labelled as attention seeking

i refuse to continue pushing myself into false narratives of resiliency to further appease the patriarchy
