NDN Collective is launching the “Feed The People” campaign in response to the SNAP benefits crisis. The U.S. Government shutdown is disrupting SNAP, deepening food insecurity in many Native and rural communities.

LANDBACK wool blankets are available now.

The LANDBACK blanket was created in collaboration with Eighth Generation and includes geometric designs inspired by Lakota beadwork, quillwork and Navajo rugs.

Since 2023, this award has supported more than 396 individuals & families with awards of $25k or $50k. Relatives in year 1 & 2 have utilized this award to purchase a home, obtain a degree, start a business, home repairs, & more!

This private family farm was founded in 1999 by Bruce and Tawny Savage. The farm’s vision is to revitalize the Great Lakes region’s traditional economy through Indigenous food knowledge and crafts, championing a Bimaadiziwin (“Good Life”) and decolonized worldview.

Braided Capital refers to NDN Collective’s unique approach of combining both grant and loan resources for specific projects. Since 2019, NDN Collective has deployed over $9 million in loan capital across 12 loans, with 8 of those leveraging braided capital.

From Hawaii to New York, NDN Collective trained over 200 people in 15 different communities in organizing strategies in 2024. In Hawaii, we collaborated with our partners at HULI to coordinate a Training for Trainers session to deepen creative resistance skills and share knowledge.

Today, Yazmín is part of @upeekbalwaye, a peninsular network for the future of the Mayan language; she co-directs the Nojolo'on Community Center for Peace in Peto, Yucatán, and is one of the mentors in linguistic revitalization for the Endangered Languages Project organization.

Yazmín Novelo is a Mayan sociolinguist, communications specialist, and singer-songwriter from Peto, Yucatán, Mexico.

Yazmín has developed projects to help revitalize the Mayan language via music, written pieces, radio, and live performances both locally and in the United States.

The design depicts 4 bison running alongside the moon phases. Their inclusion is a celebration of their resurgence after near extinction. They symbolize resilience, collective healing, and our interconnectedness (or Mitákuye Oyás'iŋ).
