I guess I’m a hardcore Indigenous liberationist because sovereignty isn’t granted—it’s inherent. The Medicine Line was never ours. Land Back is justice. Our laws, languages, and ways of knowing are resistance. We don’t need permission to exist. We are sovereign, we are strong, and we are still here.

#GeraldGrayJr wants to rewrite our history, claiming people aren’t Little Shell because they’re not enrolled. But Red Thunder, chief under Little Shell III, made it clear: “These are the children and descendants of that woman. They must be recognized as members.” It’s not enrollment- it’s family❤️

Pemmican is made by drying and pounding buffalo meat into powder, then mixing it with rendered fat (nearly half the weight). For flavor, berries and sugar were added. The mixture is packed into buffalo hide bags and forms a solid block, ready to be cut into portions for later use. 🍇🧈
